The Unofficial Port of New York and New Jersey

Of course the Port of New York is a misnomer. It's really the Port Authority. Its stated purpose is to Keep the Region Moving. When you think of a port, you think of boats and ships. Yes, it includes the terminals and ports. The reality is that it also handles anything critical to the transportation network between New York and New Jersey in the areas surrounding NYC. This includes the airports of LaGuardia, JFK, Newark and Teterboro. The PATH rail transit system, the World Trade Center, the 51st Street Rail Yard, and all kinds of associated services. The George Washington Bridge, along with the Lincoln and Holland Tunnels, the three bridges from Staten Island to New Jersey and the famous Manhattan Bus Terminal are all maintained by the Port Authority.

This site is divided into several sections to enhance your experience:

This is an ongoing development and we welcome assistance.

Entertainment: Finding things to do in New York is easy. Finding the best, something affordable, or something catered to your needs is sometimes harder. We have provided a page recommending a few things to do in the area that you might not normally think of, such as NYC Murder Mystery Dinners and even New York City corporate event entertainment.

Links: This page contains useful companies in varying fields that may be able to assist you. These are not keyed completely at the international shipping marketplace, but are beneficial.

World Ports: This page contains links to the official port sites from around the world. When you do business in shipping, you are dealing with two ports, no just ours. We want you to find useful information about the other side of the equation. This section is divided into three sections, the U.S., Canada, and the rest of the world. It is difficult to find such a complete guide and we feel that this is one of the centerpieces of the business benefit of this site.
